Privacy Policy
How we handle
your information.
We collect only what is necessary to respond to your inquiry, and we do not sell your information.
Last updated August 6, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes the personal information that ComedyAuctioneer.com collects, the purposes for which it is collected, and the manner in which it is used, disclosed, and retained. It governs your use of this website alone.
Information you provide
The sole point at which this website collects personal information is the inquiry form on our contact page. Upon submission, we receive the following:
- Your name, email address, and telephone number.
- Your organization, its type, and its website.
- Details of your event, including the service required, city and state, venue, date, anticipated audience size, budget range, and whether sound is required.
- How you heard of us, together with any information you provide in the message field.
All fields are optional except those identified as required. We request event details in order to assess our availability and describe the scope of a potential engagement. Should you prefer not to use the form, you are welcome to contact us by telephone or email instead.
Information collected automatically
Upon submission of the form, our server records your IP address. It is used solely to limit the number of submissions originating from a single address within a short interval and to prevent duplicate messages. It is retained for that purpose alone and expires within ten minutes.
WordPress may set a cookie when a site administrator signs in to manage the website. This applies to our own personnel and not to visitors.
Advertising and tracking
At present, this website displays no third-party advertising, and we employ no advertising cookies, remarketing tags, or social media pixels. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising, nor in the sale of personal information, as those terms are defined under applicable law.
We may in the future introduce advertising, measurement, or comparable technologies, or engage third-party advertising or analytics partners. Should we do so, we will amend this policy to identify such technologies and providers, describe the information they collect, and furnish the consent choices and opt-out mechanisms required in your jurisdiction before any such technology is used to track you across sites or over time.
Measuring traffic
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors read and the sources from which they arrive, in order to improve the website. It reports on pages and traffic sources rather than on you personally, and we do not use it to construct advertising audiences. The advertising features of Google Analytics are not enabled.
When active, Google Analytics sets cookies to recognize a returning visit and measure a session, and your IP address is anonymized. This information is processed by Google, whose handling of it is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, analytics is disabled upon your arrival and remains disabled unless you consent. A notice at the foot of the page requests your choice. Until you respond, and permanently should you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no information identifying you is stored on your device. Google nonetheless receives a record that a page was viewed, bearing no cookie and no identifier, used solely to estimate aggregate traffic.
Elsewhere, including the United States, analytics operates from the time of your arrival, and no notice is shown. We adopt this position because the website, as currently operated, does not sell personal information, serve advertising, or engage in cross-context behavioral tracking, and accordingly there is nothing that United States privacy law presently requires you to opt in to. Should we introduce any such practice, we will provide the disclosures and opt-out mechanisms those laws require, and this section and the corresponding consent controls will be amended accordingly.
Wherever you are located, you may disable analytics at any time. Blocking cookies for this website in your browser settings, or using any tracking blocker, is sufficient. If you were shown the notice and wish to respond to it again, clear this website's stored data and it will reappear on your next visit.
Analytics is disabled entirely for any person signed in to administer the website, so that our own visits are not counted.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information, nor do we disclose it for the marketing purposes of any third party.
Two categories of service provider necessarily process it on our behalf: the provider that hosts this website and maintains its server logs, and the email provider that delivers your inquiry to us. Each acts solely upon our instructions and is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes.
YouTube. Our video page embeds clips by means of youtube-nocookie.com, the privacy-preserving version of Google's player. Opening that page contacts Google's servers, and should you play a clip, YouTube receives information regarding what you viewed and stores data on your device, subject to the Google Privacy Policy. No other page on this website embeds third-party video.
We may disclose information where required by law, or where necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property, or those of others.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are received by email and retained within our business email account for as long as we may reasonably require them to serve you and to maintain ordinary business records. Rate-limiting records expire automatically within minutes. Should you wish your inquiry to be deleted, notify us and we will remove it.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you reside, you may request access to the personal information we hold concerning you, request its correction, or request its deletion. Write to the address at the foot of this page and we will respond.
If you are located in California, the CCPA and CPRA afford you the right to know what personal information we collect and the purposes for which it is used, to request its deletion or correction, and not to suffer discrimination for exercising those rights. As the website is currently operated, we neither sell nor share personal information as those laws define those terms, and there is accordingly nothing for you to opt out of. Should that change, we will provide the opt-out mechanism the law requires.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you additionally have the right to object to or restrict processing, to receive your data in a portable form, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing inquiry details is our legitimate interest in responding to a request you have elected to send us.
How we may contact you
When you submit an inquiry, we respond to it directly. Such a response is transactional rather than promotional, and no opt-in is required to receive it.
We do not presently send a newsletter or marketing email. Should we introduce one, it will be sent solely to those who have requested it; every message will identify us and bear our postal address, and every message will include a functioning unsubscribe link that we honor promptly.
Where you provide a telephone number, we may use it to contact you regarding the event about which you inquired. Standard message and data rates may apply. You may ask us to cease such contact at any time, and we will honor that request promptly.
Children, other sites, and changes
This website is intended for individuals arranging professional services and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe that a child has provided us with information, notify us and we will delete it.
This website contains links to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and this policy does not extend to them.
Should we amend this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made without notice.
