Justin James | #1 Ranked Benefit Auctioneer
The person holding the microphone matters.
From multimillion dollar galas to the neighborhood food bank, from humane societies to hospital foundations, ComedyAuctioneer.com has been brought in to maximize donations at every level of giving. It is a big reason nonprofits across the country trust us with their biggest night of the year. A live auction should be fun, interactive, and connect with donors. Whether it is a celebrity event with sports stars and world class musicians or a local humane society or food bank, we auction it all, big or small.
This company began in Las Vegas more than 30 years ago. Justin was born and raised here, and Las Vegas is still home. This is where he learned the entertainment business and where the work first took shape. Las Vegas knows how to put on a show. A fundraiser has another job: get people invested in the mission and ready to give. The nonprofit side of Las Vegas is deep, from UMC Foundation and Nathan Adelson Hospice to Three Square Food Bank and Opportunity Village. We learn the cause, the audience, the giving history, and what the organization needs to raise. Then we build the live auction and paddle raise around it.
Las Vegas fundraisers take place in Strip ballrooms, downtown hotels, country clubs, theaters, and community venues throughout Southern Nevada. We do not build the auction from the address. We build it from the guest count, donor history, auction inventory, and the strength of the appeal. A larger event may need fewer, stronger auction lots and enough spotters to cover the tables. A smaller event may need more explanation, a tighter list, and a paddle raise built around personal stories. We look for the best places to raise money, cut anything that slows the giving down, and make it easy for people to participate. Then we shape the live auction and paddle raise for that event.

Each event has thrown us unique curveballs this year, but I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished together. That is in large part due to your keen attention to detail and commitment to go above and beyond.

Event Consulting
Build the
night first.
Fundraising Consulting
The final number is decided before the doors open.
Professional fundraising event consulting looks at the entire night as one connected program. The schedule, donor communication, scripts, speakers, production, revenue opportunities, and transitions all compete for the same limited amount of time and attention. We work with your committee and production team to identify what the event needs to accomplish, eliminate the pieces that work against it, and build a program where every element has a purpose. By the time the doors open, your committee, volunteers, speakers, production team, and fundraising professionals should all know exactly what is supposed to happen and why.
Las Vegas offers endless ways to fill an evening. More is not always better. A long reception, multiple speakers, awards, entertainment, games, a live auction, and a paddle raise can leave the fundraising fighting for attention. We review prior results, auction items, giving levels, scripts, speakers, games, and the schedule. Then we help decide what stays, what needs more time, and what can go. We protect the strongest opportunities to raise money, make the ask easy to follow, and keep the evening moving toward the reason everyone came.

Emcee Services in Las Vegas
Keep your audience engaged and your program moving.
Your emcee is the face and voice of your event. From the first welcome to the final close, we keep your audience engaged, your speakers supported, and your program moving with the energy and professionalism the occasion deserves. When something changes, we adjust. When the room needs energy, we build it. When a serious moment needs space, we give it space. And when it is time to move forward, we bring everyone with us. That combination of preparation, stage experience, timing, humor, and improvisation is what turns an event schedule into a professionally hosted live experience.
Plenty of people in Las Vegas can command a stage. A fundraising emcee needs more than stage presence. The job is to welcome the audience, support the speakers, keep the schedule moving, and make the shift into fundraising feel natural. We prepare names, pronunciations, sponsor recognition, and transitions before event night. Onstage, we listen. We can lift the energy, make an adjustment, or give a personal story the time it deserves. The host should make the organization look prepared and keep guests connected from the first welcome through the final ask.

Auction Games
Make fun
profitable.
Auction Games
The whole room came to give, not just the bidders.
Revenue enhancers give every guest at your event a chance to participate in the fundraising, not just the guests who came to bid. The right game at the right moment opens up giving at price points the whole room can say yes to, and the energy it creates carries into the live auction and the paddle raise that follow.
We maintain one of the most comprehensive auction game libraries in the country, with more than fifty revenue enhancers for live fundraising events. Golden tickets, wine walls, heads or tails, mystery boxes, centerpiece games, Last Paddle Standing, and dozens more.

Comedy & Variety
Entertainment.
Entertainment for Everyone
The show they never forget.
Clean, interactive comedy and variety entertainment for corporate events, fundraising galas, private parties, and campus shows. Our headline show is volunteer-driven and built from the audience in the room.
Las Vegas gives an event team almost unlimited entertainment choices. We narrow them by asking what the act needs to do. Some events need clean comedy after dinner. Others need an interactive variety act that brings a mixed group together or a headline performer to close the night. We match the performer and material to the audience, schedule, stage, and budget. That gives the client a short list of acts that truly fit the event instead of a catalog of names.

Variety Talent
Premium Talent.
Specialty Acts
Talent services for your next event.
Comedians, magicians, mentalists, jugglers, fire performers, impersonators, ventriloquists, musicians, speakers, emcees, and specialty acts. When your event needs live entertainment, we match the right act to your audience and your venue.
When an event needs outside talent, we do more than send a list of available names. We look at the audience, the purpose of the appearance, the amount of performance time, and the budget. Then we recommend people who make sense for that specific event. Las Vegas has extraordinary performers at every level. Our job is to recommend the people who can deliver what the client actually needs and set clear expectations on both sides.

Where We Work
We go where the giving happens.
Our Las Vegas service covers the entire valley and communities throughout Southern Nevada. We serve nonprofit fundraisers, corporate events, and private celebrations in venues of every size. Send us your date, venue, and expected guest count, and we’ll confirm availability and talk through what the event needs.
Our regular Las Vegas-area service includes:
- Las Vegas
- Henderson
- North Las Vegas
- Boulder City
- Mesquite
- Laughlin
- Moapa Valley
- Logandale
- Bunkerville
- Indian Springs
- Mount Charleston
Beyond the Las Vegas Valley and Southern Nevada, we cover the surrounding region as part of our normal range, and we work events across Nevada and coast to coast. Wherever you are located, we can assist.
Who We Work With
The company we keep.
Our work has put us in front of audiences for major corporations including Nordstrom, T-Mobile, John Deere, and the U.S. Postal Service, with organizations such as Starbucks and Porsche sponsoring our work. We have helped raise money for charities including St. Jude, the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, the ALS Association, and many more. But the size of the name on the invitation does not determine the level of service. A national brand and a neighborhood nonprofit holding its first auction both get the same preparation, professionalism, and attention from our team.
Questions we hear from Las Vegas event committees
What does a benefit auctioneer do?
A benefit auctioneer runs the revenue moments of a fundraising event: the live auction, the paddle raise, and the games. The bigger part of the job happens earlier, consulting with your committee on the auction lineup, the run of show, and where the ask belongs in the program. On the night, we execute that plan from the stage, reading the room and pacing the bidding so the energy climbs instead of stalling.
Do you serve Henderson, North Las Vegas, and the rest of the Las Vegas Valley region?
Yes. Our Las Vegas coverage includes all of Clark County, not only the Strip and central valley. It extends north to Mesquite and Moapa Valley, west to Mount Charleston, and south through Boulder City to Laughlin at the Arizona line. Send the exact venue and date with your inquiry so we can confirm availability, staffing, and travel for the event.
How much does a benefit auctioneer cost?
There is no single price for a quality benefit auctioneer, because there is no single version of the job. Professional auctioneering services can include fundraising consulting, emcee services, additional staffing, ringmen, and more, and every event needs a different mix. Fees vary widely with the level of service. Call us with what you are looking to do and we will build you a customized quote.
Do we need a professional auctioneer, or can a volunteer run our auction?
The live auction and paddle raise are some of the highest-value minutes in your fundraising program, and they happen only once. A professional benefit auctioneer brings trained bid calling, pacing, room reading, donor recognition, and fundraising experience to those moments while keeping the audience engaged and the program moving. The question for your committee is not simply who can hold the microphone. It is who you want responsible for the room when your largest fundraising opportunities of the night are happening.
Do you work fundraisers in the resort ballrooms and on the Strip?
Yes. Resort ballrooms throughout Las Vegas are within our service area. Caesars Palace, ARIA Resort & Casino, The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, and Wynn Las Vegas are part of the local venue mix. We still begin with guest count, donor history, auction inventory, the fundraising goal, and the time available. A ballroom with hundreds of guests needs an auction that is easy to follow from every table and a paddle raise with enough trained spotters to catch every gift. Send us the property, ballroom, and expected attendance, and we can start from there.
When is gala season in Las Vegas, and does summer work?
Most formal fundraising events land between September and May, with the heavier seasons in fall and spring. Summer is quieter, but it can still work. The important question is whether the people you need in the room will be in Las Vegas and willing to attend. Look at donor availability, competing dates, ticket history, and what the event needs to accomplish. A summer fundraiser does not need to imitate the fall gala calendar. It may work better with a different format, a shorter evening, or a more focused guest list.
Can you run just the paddle raise?
Yes. A paddle raise, also called a Fund-A-Need or special appeal, is the moment the whole room is invited to give directly to your mission, with donors raising their paddles at the giving levels they choose. Some events have no live auction at all, and the paddle raise carries the entire fundraising program. We run standalone paddle raises, and the preparation gets the same weight as a full evening: the giving levels, the placement in the program, and the story that leads into the ask all get built with your committee before anyone takes the stage. You can learn more on our paddle raise page.
Do you work events outside the Valley, in Boulder City, Mesquite, or Laughlin?
Yes. Southern Nevada fundraising is not limited to Strip galas. In Mesquite, annual events include the Virgin Valley Chamber's bingo fundraiser and the Rotary Club's MUDD Volleyball and Ducky Derby. Boulder City has its hospital foundation and Emergency Aid of Boulder City, while the River Fund serves the Laughlin area. We size the auction to the guest count, fundraising goal, and event history, whether it is held in a resort ballroom or a community venue outside the valley.
Can you run a virtual or hybrid fundraiser?
Yes. Virtual and hybrid events run on the same principles as in-person ones: a clear program, a strong ask, and a host who keeps the audience engaged wherever they are watching from. If part of your room is at home, the program gets built with that in mind from the start, because an online audience decides in seconds whether to keep watching or to click away.
How far in advance should we book?
Good event planning starts early, and six to nine months out is a comfortable window. The venue you want is booking weddings, conventions, and holiday parties into the same rooms year round, and your caterer, planner, and auctioneering team are all filling their calendars the same way. Fall and spring are the tightest, because fundraising season lands on top of everything else. The closer you get to your date, the fewer good options are left, and the more they cost. If your timeline is already short, call us and we will tell you whether we have a team member for your date.
How do we hire a benefit auctioneer in Las Vegas?
Start with the date, venue, expected guest count, fundraising goal, and a brief outline of the evening. If the event has a history, send last year's live-auction and paddle-raise results, the item list, and the prior run of show. If it is new, tell us what has already been decided and where you need help. We will review the audience, auction inventory, appeal, timing, and budget before recommending benefit auctioneering alone or a combination with consulting, emcee services, games, entertainment, and additional staff. The booking form below is the fastest way to send those details.
A professional team will always raise more for your mission.
